chopsticks
A Vim configuration written in Vim 9 script, with no Node.js. It is built to start fast and to behave over SSH.

An editor setup that I use every day, on my laptop and on servers over SSH, should not depend on a Node runtime or break when the clipboard is on the other side of a connection.
How it works
- Plugins are pinned to exact commits, so a fresh machine gets the setup that was tested.
- It detects an SSH session and stops assuming a desktop clipboard instead of failing in a way that is hard to see.
- A small set of autoloaded modules covers a file explorer, fuzzy find, an LSP client, sessions, Markdown and debugging.
- The interface layer draws a statusline, a bufferline, a dashboard, a theme and brief window labels that appear only after a focus change.
- It refuses to load on a Vim older than 9.1.1947 rather than half-working.
